A fine example of a mahogany Chippendale dining chair with blind fret-work to the front legs and seat rail in a Gothic geometric pattern that is 1/16th of an inch deep. The fretted splat has finely carved details of leaves and beadings which lead to a serpentine crest rail with C-scrolls and leaves. The framework of the chair is mortised and tenoned throughout with the perfect hand craftsmanship that over 30 years of experience can produce. The design and production of the chair is a tribute to the Chippendale period.
